Re: Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors
I agree with Ryan.........if there were a posting place where the manif. response time could be posted, other racer could judge as to do business with them or buy else where.
Graded if you will ! Rick

Re: Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors
This goes back a ways(2006).I never got paid by Weld Wheels. The excuse was they were
going bankrupt. So no dinero.Well lo and behold Greg Weld starts Greg Reld Co. and all is well, except he couldn't pay back his old debts. I can only wish that his punishment will be to have to live out his life with sand in his briefs.

Re: Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors
There really are some top notch stand-up, pay your money quick contingency sponsors out there.
Before I say anything else, I must say this first. I don't know if it was lack of sleep yesterday or my chemotherapy, but it seems there are not as many deadbeat sponsors as I thought. There are a couple that want you to send them information that you have to "go get" to send to them, and I doubt that many folks send it in, so those vendors get a discount. It is kind of like offering a rebate, which you know that only 40% will send it in. But if that there rule, you got to prove you use their internal parts, and they cant find the orders, you have to belly up to the bar and find your long lost receipts. And get your engine guy to send you the copies of what he bought and put in for you. I think I will go around the car and strip off the others decals for the ones who don't pay. Maybe we should just list all of the really good ones, and anyone not on that list could rightly be considered to be a less than a really good contingency sponsor? I will start it: Fast pay, good contingency sponsors List: ATI Comp Cams Jegs Las Vegas Motor Speedway Mark Williams Enterprises Mopar Moroso Moser Thunder Valley Raceway VP Racing Fuels David The New Hemi Guy Last edited by NewHemi; 02-01-2011 at 06:10 PM. |

Re: Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors
In my humble opinion (IMHO) NHRA should police this - not us
I am sure every slow or no payment has a great explanation from the sponsor Ron

Re: Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors
How do companies post a new year without paying for the previous year? A well known funny car sponcer owes us for a race in 2012 and 5 races for 2013. As Dan mentioned a Fl. company is well behind in payments also. We always look to see who is paying for the comming year and buy those products send in the "W" forms and diplay their decals. That should work, you would think . But repeated emails and phone calls are still needed sometimes with zero results. But persistency will hopfully pay off. Maybe a listing of who refuses to pay would be more helpfull to the racer. We need these companies to help support us and should do everything to keep them involved. When they do what they promise tell everyone about. When they don't...............well what do you do.

Re: Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors
Just some info .If the sponsor does not pay out full contingency money they signed up for they have to pay NHRA the balance at the end of the year.
