Default Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors

I now have a very long list of contingency sponsors who after Months have paid nothing and made no contact.

I will shortly be asking the NHRA to "remind" them of their committment, but was just wondering if anyone else has a list of the worst contingency deadbeats?

In fairness, will also be starting a thread of quick pay, good communcation contingency sponsors. And there definitely are some of those.

Cool Re: Worst/Late or non paying contingency sponsors

David: if you didn't receive payment by years end, my "guess" is you can pretty well write it off. JB.

Welcome to my world...

As you said, there are a nember of FANTASTIC companies. For example, ATI, Strange, Mark Williams, K&N, Jegs, Summit, Comp Cams just off the top of my head as the fastest paying ones. There are a number, however, that year after year, are a problem. I won't name names, but apparently being based in Florida may be a contributing factor.

I've had to be VERY persistent, but I've always collected what I had earned...until the last couple of years, when I've finally taken it in the shorts hard. Between Barry Grant, Crane Cams, CSR, and CMTS, I've come to the realization that I'm going to get beat out of almost 15k.

And I especially love the BG ad right next to my DFTS ad in the current issue of ND that FINALLY showed up...or the points meet scheduled at a facility in Georgia...or that Crane is posting again...good times...

Charlie Neilson is a good guy, but he can apparently only do so much to help

David, contact the company directly. The process takes longer than expected. Sometimes you have just been overlooked, sometimes they want additional proof of purchase and sometimes they claim they have not received the info from NHRA. Whatever the reason, I believe that you will receive better results by contacting them yourself. LOL because some just don't pay no matter what you do.
I spent a lot of time on the phone after my son's runner up finishes(2) but he did receive several hundred dollars more for my time.

I think we should start a list on here of companies that don't pay or are very slow to pay. Maybe if they are called out on it they will speed up their process. And if they don't maybe racers will quit buying from them. If a company doesn't want to pay contingency then they shouldn't sign up for it!

No more aggravation for me as I will not advertise for ANY companies that have played games in the past....even when the economy was good certain companies still gave me grief.....it's real easy not to put a sticker on and to buy parts from their competitors as I have done.....I never did this for the money anyway....I enjoy the people and the sport....If I was stupid enough to run my business like them I would have been gone years ago.....what comes around goes around...and the economy will.... and has... bitten some of them in the asses already....I believe laughing at them is better than being aggravated by them.

Ps...Dan your right....Charlie Nielson has gone above and beyond but can only do so much.

Are you talking about the New Crane or the old Crane?

Forget asking NHRA first, they will tell you to contact the manufacturer directly.
I E-mailed all my contingency "requests" to the address provided on NHRA's sponsor site. ..I also copied to NHRA's Charlie Neilson.
Without exception I was e-mailed back by the folowing business day, sometimes with an apology,or at least an explanition.
I just recieved my last check from E-town which was 5 months ago, a few of the manufacturers told me the same story ,NHRA did not send them the results of the race untill November!
Comp Cams requires you to register with Contingency connection online.
I recieved their check about 2 weeks after registering.
Strange continues to be tops in my book, their check is always the first one to arrive!

Emails don't work. Place phone calls and talk with real people.
