Yep you summed it up....supply and demand, welcome to America. If Chevrolet did not want the cars to be flipped for a profit by anybody they should have built more than 69.

I also want to mention BS walks and Money talks everything is negotiable.

A Chevrolet dealer can NOT order a COPO from what I have been told by the people involved in this project. If a dealer is in fact picked and gets a car I suppose he is free to market the car no different than others who took a car to flip and see a profit. Clearly not the intent but GM has no control over this after the car is sold by them to anybody.
So a friend of the dealer (who does not want the car) get's in the lottery. He wins the lottery but leaves the car with his car dealer friend to keep or resell. Where there is a will, there is a way.Remember there is no title only a parts counter slip when it is sold to the end user. Do you really think GM cares? The car companies know that only a small percentage of the cars will get raced. They like our conversation, it's good press. If they keep building 50 to a hundred a year the cars will depreciate for a long time before they appreciate in value. Most people with big money want the latest and greatest. There are only so many people with money that will buy one of each year for a collection.

We're curious about the New 2013 engine choices...

are they all naturally aspirated?

350" / 325HP

396" / 375HP

427" / 425HP

Cost of this Manual Transmission Option = $11,000

and btw, you don't get any credit for leaving the PG behind...

So we're clear, it's The Base Price of the car + $11,000 to obtain a "Stick" car

And then you can go buy a clutch that works, a mechanical linkage and a trans with better gearing!
