Car transport recommendations
Anyone have any good recommendations on getting a car shipped from the West Coast to Ohio? Being a race car, it'll need to be in an enclosed trailer. Btw, it's my first class car, so I'll be soliciting some advice from you veterans here.
Thanks, Jim. |

Re: Car transport recommendations
Reliable is absolutely, unquestionably, the best in the business. Expensive? Yes, but the car will safe, on-time, and as clean as it was when it was loaded. I've used "no-name" car haulers with "enclosed" trailers and they are little more than flatbeds with a canvas top on them. Spend the money and be happy with what comes out of the trailer. |

Re: Car transport recommendations
Thanks for the info. I got a quote from Reliable this evening. Their rates are quite reasonable, especially considering the distance.

Re: Car transport recommendations
I have shipped several million dollars of collector/muscle cars across this country and I've always relied on Blue Highways. Top notch service and outstanding rates.
It's likely I have used all of the well-known hauling firms, as well as some less publicized. Blue Highways will always be the hauling company of choice for me. Last edited by Paradigm Shift; 11-13-2018 at 12:17 AM. |

Re: Car transport recommendations
I just checked out the Blue Highways website. Has anyone used Cars Enclosed? Their name came up too. Reliable said a minimum of 3-4 weeks, and that could be problematic.

Re: Car transport recommendations
Plycar shipped my Top Sportsman car from Texas to L.I., it cost about $1600 they deal with all kinds of high end autos. Based on L.I., and have 4 other terminals across the country. The west coast terminal is in Torrance, Ca. One of the best in the business.
