Hey gang the first race of the season is this coming weekend at Pacemakers in Mt Vernon, Ohio. I'm kind of wanted to get a head count on who all is coming so we know how many spot to be prepared to save for racers coming in for the event. Track will be open on Friday for test and tune and you can come in and set up and stay for the night even if your not testing, just pay for your Saturday car & driver and crew and your in.
Gates open at 4pm on Friday and will be open all night if your a late night stragglers. On Saturday racing gets started at 1pm, with the 2 time trail sessions at 230 & 4pm and round one starting at 6pm. You will be there with the Bill Jackson's Racing Engines SST Series (7.00 index) and you can enter that race or any of the other classes you wish to enter if your feeling like doing double duty. Also again for the 2012 season Jim Nichols of Mid Ohio Paving is sponsoring the Mid Ohio Paving Dash for Cash where the best package of the first time trail run receives $100. Also, Parson & Myers Racing Engines once again sponsoring the best package of rd 1 of eliminations $100. I will be there on Friday so any questions or problems call me or look me up in pits. Payout is the same as always, $1000 winner, $300 runner up and $50 a round beginning rd 3. Hope you can all make it and I'm posting link to track site to help you with directions. http://www.pacemakersdragway.com/ |

Joe
We will be there Fri evening. I'm thinking Wangers, Antros and Richard Doane are coming also. I'm sure you know about South. Pacemakers was the first drag strip I ever went down. 1960 in a 1947 Ford flat head. I have no idea how fast it was, but I do remember how much fun it was. Weather looks great. Hopefully you will get a good turn out. See ya Fri. |

The question is:
Will there be any Stromberg carburetor equipped vehicles attending? |
