Boy do I remember that car. Picture was taken on the starting line at Beeline.
One of Jim Rodgers (Mgr/Promoter of Beeline) 'Match Races' was this car in a two out of three against one of the 'Howard Cam' dragsters, the 'Unbearable' as I recall. The Howard Cam car was staged on the line and Sanders launched out of the hot car staging area with a head start. When Sanders was even with the starting line the Dragster left. I don't remember who won but it was entertaining. I saw this Plymouth run many times in the Phoenix area. Great picture! Thanks for the memory jogger. |

Does anyone remember Ken Hebert/ Del Blades sponsored 1964 Plymouth Lightweight? Or a 1964 plymouth lightweight purchased by Ronnie Campbell?Van "s Auto? Thanks |

Frank Sanders died in a Lockheed T-33 crash on May 4th 1990.
