Default Wheel Vintiques or others

I am looking for a 15" X 10" steel wheel to fit a street car project. I like the non-script Derby Hat center cap (I call it a Corvette wheel, but I'm not sure that this is accurate). This is for a 1983 Mercury Grand Marquis, so it has the big Ford front hub and Ford/Mopar bolt pattern. The guy at Wheel Vintiques told me that the Derby Hat "should fit" (gave me about as much confidence as Tracy Morgan handing out parachutes). He also said that they wouldn't be available until Fall. I really don't care about whether the wheels have holes or are smooth, but I like the idea of painted wheels with chrome trim rings and center caps, preferably the Derby hat. Anyone have any experience in this area?

Not really sure what the "Derby cap" that you are refering to, but I have Wheel Vintique Series 61 steel wheels on my 59 Ford (15x6 front, 15x8 rear). These wheels look like a factory steel wheel, and they fit the factory Ford 10 1/4 " Dog Dish hub caps perfectly. They have a larger than OE center hole, and 5 x 4 1/2" bolt pattern. I bought the wheels from Summit. They come in a gray primer, I had them painted body color, like factory.

You may be right, I bought the wheels a few years ago.
