Default 87 Camaro Rear

In need of some help.

What size rear came in a 87 Z-28???

I'm sure it's a 10 bolt, but what size, 7.5, 8.2, 8.5???

Does anyone have one for sale for a Stock Elim. car
Spool, Axles, Gears. let me know what you have...

Also, if anyone has 305 parts, let me know..

Thanks

Pistol Pete, I have lots of spare parts that will make that camara fast, Barry has the same parts, come on over to the other side and let it all hang out. Coming to the BBQ?

Factory rear was the 7.5". There are things you can do to make these rears live longer but gear choice is very limited. Best bet is to get a Moser or Strange 12 Bolt for it. Better choice of gears and will last

No on the 5.13's. Limit is 4.56's for the 7.50 rear, you'll have to run a 28" tall tire to be close to the 5.13's with a 30". I ran the original rear for a couple years before upgrading.

Doug

Appreciate the input, your probably right to go to the 12 bolt right off the bat.

I thought i could get away going the cheap route.

I do not want to spend money twice on building this car...

What class do you run????

Thx

Not positive on the actual length of the 4th gens but I think their the samesince the Strange unit fits 82-02. I'd still suggest just upgrading ahead since you will have a much better choice of tire/gear combos to try.
In J the minimum is 3345 with the driver. I run the 150/254 combo. No on E-towns nat'l this year, next outing likely will be the Island Open next month.
