Espn&Drag racing
Well I see espn is back to their usual crap of holding over whatever is on preempting drag racing .You know I can see something running over a few minutes here and there, but it's over an hour past the time for racing to be on.Surely their scheduling people know this was going to happen.Either their incompetent or they don't give a *****. Espn sucks, I'll be glad when Nhra swaps over.

Re: Espn&Drag racing
I did away with cable a year ago, too much non reality crap for me. I could care less what the pros had for breakfast and stuff that has nothing to do with racing. You know the interview is all about there personal stuff boring. I come on class racer and see the best coverage and in car videos that you could ask for. BTW thanks to everyone for the posts on all racing

Re: Espn&Drag racing
I agree. Got tired of watching two women knock a little ball back & forth, trying to figure out when it would end. Turned the TV off & went to sleep.

Re: Espn&Drag racing
I actually like tennis, but not when I want to watch drag racing. That has been my issue with ESPN.
As for the stupid interviews, I hit the mute button and think about what's going on in the S/SS pits. I'd like the broadcasts a whole lot better if they filled the time between Pro rounds with quarter rounds and on for Sportsman instead of watching Prock give computer lessons or some such worthless stuff. Might even get folks interested in hitting the local track if they realized that they could do that to. Dale

Re: Espn&Drag racing
Not that ESPN couldn't be better about race coverage with at least a token amount of time showing some of ALL competition levels when possible, but to their credit they did point out in about 30 seconds worth of coverage Sunday what they said was the "slowest race car on the property", the yellow '86 Tempo running Stock as a Topaz.
I guess its a start... |

Re: Espn&Drag racing
Maybe next year the new station will know the difference between drag racing, tennis and baseball.

Re: Espn&Drag racing
We watched espn3 all day on the computer and it was pretty good. If they didn't have sound on, we listened to the audiocast.

Re: Espn&Drag racing
I'm not sure I understand why NHRA has been announcing that coverage of the finals on Monday would start at 4pm on ESPN2. I have Direct TV and no where in the guide does it show ANY NHRA racing on Monday. In fact ESPN has posted the damn tennis match starting at 10am until 11pm (went until 12 midnight actually). I watched ESPN3 all day today (Monday) and it wasn't too bad except for the lack of announcing when anything but Pro stuff was on. Once again NHRA had no clue as to what was going to be covered and when it was going to be covered even with it being the biggest race of the year! Jim
Suggestion to ESPN3, Flip a switch and let the tower announcer be heard during the broadcast of Sportsman races since the ESPN guys used that time to get a drink and take a piss! Jim .

Re: Espn&Drag racing
I thought it was very cool that they did that. I agree that they should fill some of the dead space with Sportsman class notes and cool stories.
