461 heads
Dad bought a set of stock 461 heads the other day. What Super Stock combos/years will they work with?

Re: 461 heads
Looks like they fit 62-67 327's of various horsepower ratings, Brian, along with about 8 or so other head casting numbers. I'm not quite sure if they are the best choice for a Super Stock combination, as there are aftermarket (replacement) heads that probably flow better. Hopefully someone will be able to give you the flow numbers you're looking for!

Re: 461 heads
This is what I looked at, from the 1966 Chevy classification listing, for the 327-300 HP combo in Super Stock -
RHS Cast Iron heads # 12400 & 12402 accepted as replacement head These heads may be used in SS only, not Stock Dart Cast Iron heads with cast # 10021070 accepted as replacement head This head may be used in SS only, not Stock World Products Cast Iron heads with cast #'s 043600 & 043610 accepted as replacement heads - SS ONLY (Formatted from Excel spreadsheet, sorry!)
