Super Stock questions
A couple questions for Super Stock. I am building a 67 Pontiac Wagon for GT Class. I was reading the rules and under engines for GT it says Corporate engines allowed. Does that mean in my case you could select a Chevy engine like from the 70 Chevy sheet and build for a Pontiac Wagon ??
Also what are the Carb Rules for SS. I thought you had to run the carb on the build sheet but could not find Carb section in the rules ? I know it would be blasphemy to put a Chevy engine in a Pontiac but after 30 Years of loyalty to Pontiac they killed the brand without my input LOL Thanks for the guidance Don Turk |

Re: Super Stock questions
Hey Blue Oval
I have a new SHO on order so since Pontiac's departure I bought my first Ford in 35 Years of driving. The Sales Manager at the Ford Dealership told me he is hearing that allot. Wanted a Cobra but wouldn't work as a business car. Mopar..... my brother is a Hemi Racer not sure we could both be in the same room if I ran a Mopar LOL . Looks like will start with a smog motor Pontiac 400 in the old goat and go from there Thanks Don Arizona I responded to your PM and Ed Thanks for the answer still unclear on Carbs for SS |

Re: Super Stock questions
About the carb question , if you use a 1975 or later Pontiac , you must use the 800 cfm q-jet .NHRA does not check carb no's, they just check the venturis and throttle bore sizes. Those carbs came on Pontiac, Olds and Cadillac and has a 1.218 primary venturi
