ext balanced 305?
Hey guys I have an 86 305 that is ext. balanced... but it was a stick I'm now going to use an auto on it. My question is I have a 400 sb (i don't know what i'm going to do with it if anythng) can i use the flexplate off it ? Would I also have to use the blancer if I did do this? Thanks 4 the help

Greg,
The 400 flexplate is a different bolt pattern than your 305 with the one pc rear main seal crankshaft. You will need to get an 86 or newer 350/305 flexplate. If it does not need to be an SFI wheel, they are fairly cheap.
