Default Power Steering

I had trouble with steering my car this year, made one race and had to give up the year. It's a Challenger which never came with standard steering, so no power assist and no hydraulics. Now all new cars have electric power steering. We made an electric power steering system with a switch to turn it off. Anybody have a problem like that, pm me and I can give you the details.

Also, if anyone needs an electric power steering rack, I have one out of a 2016 Challenger. $200.00 plus the ride. Dyno.763-227-336six.

Mr Jeff if you keep getting all these body parts replaced you're going to become a robot! Good luck with the shoulder.

Well Teuton, all I've got to say is all of these "replacement parts" had better be NHRA approved!!! And no monkey business! (but get well and feel better)

Mr Jeff, the circle boys have a much simpler solution , a ratio multiplier .
They come in either 1.5 to1 or 2 to1 ratios and fit inline with the steering shaft.
This one from Howe Racing Products costs only $100 .

Tom, Wouldn't you want something slower, for less steering effort?
Maybe a 1.5 , in reverse?

Mark, think of it like a transmission . if the power rack only has, say , a 4to 1 ratio the reducer at 2 to 1 will make it move like a manual rack with 8 to 1 reduction.
But technically ,yes, you will use it backwards to increase the ratio , not decrease it .
The reducer is used by the circle racers to slow down the steering on big tracks .
