Re: "Live From" D1 Numidia Raceway LODRS
What a beautifully day it is today, temps are in the 70's, it is a little windy, but still very pleasant out. Testing starts at 12. The track is starting to fill up, and looks like we will have a good turn out.

Re: "Live From" D1 Numidia Raceway LODRS
I have heard various reasons why racers do not like going to Numidia.
~It's too hard to get there. ~It's too far. We went there twice. Towing 270 miles with a small-block Suburban. It was never a tough tow. I know people that, before Dinwiddie and Epping, said they were three hours, or less, to every track in Division 1, Except Numidia. They said that they loved the track, the views, the food, etc. But "Gosh, it's three and a half hours...that's my long tow in the Division..." Well, for me, Numidia is four and a half hours--and it's my shortest tow in the Division. And. Division 3 is not much better (except for Norwalk and Columbus). So, I guess it depends on one's perspective.

All I have to say is "Nobody Has and Excuse Anymore" Bob Bender towed the "Fat Girl" up to Numidia....I mean the Motorhome's Transmission might be laying on the ground right now but, if you can tow a 4,000+ pound sled up to Numidia....there is no excuse....lol.

Re: "Live From" D1 Numidia Raceway LODRS
Testing is done for the day, I didn't get a chance to get anymore photos as I had to help do some testing for Bongiovanni Racing. Weather wise it was pleasant out, but we had a DA of 3600ft with a Barometer of 28.80. Tomorrows weather looks the same.
Start time is 9am, with Stock out first. Don't forgot D1TV will be live tomorrow morning. |

Re: "Live From" D1 Numidia Raceway LODRS
Good more everyone, its another crystal clear day. Temps will be in the upper 70's today. The pits are starting to fill up with about 300 entries so far. Start time is 9am with Stock out first. I don't see any records being set, even with the nice weather we still only have a barometer of 29.00.
I will be back later with some top end shots. This track has a great view for watching the finish line. You can sit on the grass as its raised above the track on both sides. |
