Re: 2023 Index Updates and Rules now available ....
Curious why the IHRA class indexes where not lowered 3 tenths like the NHRA classes where?
For a sanction body that awards points for qualifying this seems unbalanced in favor of IHRA class cars. |

Re: 2023 Index Updates and Rules now available ....
Jerermy, exactly what you just mentioned was the reason behind our decision to not adjust the IHRA indexes. Number one, the number of IHRA combinations that qualified for our races, and Number two, where they qualified on our sheets. Additionally, notice that the qualifying points system has been adjusted dramatically, along with the elimination of the IHRA Fuel Injected combos. We will continue to monitor the changes that we have made. If we see anything that is really out of wack , adjustments will be made to level the playing field. Ultimately, we're trying to give the old IHRA cars a place to play, and at the same time trying to parallel the rules at NHRA to avoid confusion with our Stock and Super Stock racers.

If you run a blinder and are upset at NHRA,don't think you can just go to an NMCA race instead.

Wow, looks like NMCA has started to drink the NHRA cool aid! Why are these entities bowing to the minority instead of doing what the majority want! What is going on with this crap! Does anyone have any balls left to stand up and fight this liberal crap! Geeeze

They have to play by NHRA’s rules. Or they will lose their Approved Alternative Sanction Organization status. Which effects their ability to run events at NHRA tracks.
