The plan is to start the "gamblers race" after the 1st round of the "Shootout"
If your still in the "Shootout" after 1st round then your in the "Shootout", the 8 eliminated can opt to get in the "Gamblers race"!

sportsman ladder 1vs9 etc keep in mind that every year except last year we have had racers unable to make it, we hope everyone makes it, but last year was the first year ever that everyone could. Alternates will be put into the spot of the person who doesn't make it. The whole ladder does not change. I have one report of a racer in the shootout that may not make it..

Billy, I think it has always been sportsman ladder except when NHRA did it differant 5 or 10 years ago

Hopefully we'll get 2 time trials in prior to eliminations for both the "Shootout" and the "Gamblers race"
My only request is that members Please listen to the announcements for both the ASRA "Shootout race" and the ASRA "Gamblers race" as I will be running 2 separate ASRA categories on Saturday, coordinating and pairing them both with the the New England Dragway Staff and Management.......

Current plans are to hold the start of the "Gamblers race" until the conclusion of round #1 of the "Shootout" to allow the 8 eliminated another "shot" in the "Gamblers race"

As Dave mentioned in another thread:
In order to run in the "Gamblers Race" you must first pay for a "test n tune" at the gate, then come and $ee me........($25.00)

BTW Does the Winner of the "Gamblers race" "pay juice" $$$$ LOL
Greg

Round 1 saw Al Mark, Lee Valentine,Bill Pomponi Jr, Bob Broadbent,
Jim Reid Jr. Dj Pires, Jason Kinash, and Jacques Blais advance to round #2

After the dust settled in Rd #3, A. Mark, B.Broadbent, J. Reid Jr, and J.Blais advanced

Round #4 pitted the "hot-shoe's" of the ASRA, recent Englishtown Stock Eliminator winner Bob Broadbent against the Napierville winner Jacqus Blais.

In the Final it was Jacques Blais over a "red-lighting" Bob Broadbent
Congratulations to Jacques on his Shootout win piloting a Mark Markow race car!

A Sincere Thanks to:"The Shootout" "Title Sponsor"
Mark Markow Race Cars - So Windsor Ct.

Diamond RV Centre - Hafield Mass
AJM Racing - Tewksbury Mass
Ultimate Converter Concepts - Cornelius NC
Eastern VP Sales - Eliot Me
Moroso - Gilford Ct
and last minute support from "BIG Al's" Toy Box.

23 drivers got into the Gamblers race, with Garett Monde "shifting" his way to the $$$$ with his D/S AMX....
Stay Tuned, we've got 1 more race to go...... Tomorrow
