It'll be curious to see where they have to pit it.

There is a rule that you cannot run a sportsman car out of the Pro pits. Jeggie, Jason & Rodger Brogdon have all had to shuffle between cars at events.

Unk

Very Very pretty , I have paint envy........big time.....very very pretty.

I have 2 , ok 3 questions.....does anyone know zee number of zee car so it can be added to zee list before zee Germans get here ?

Does anyone know when they took delivery ? That a personal curiosity question, I know were slow here I just want to know how slow compared to a really outfitted shop, I have shop envy too

Unless I am seeing the pic wrong, and this is something I may have dropped the ball on and not read the rules right, those look like gauges where the HVAC controls are supposed to be, unless Im seeing it wrong....The rule says "
INSTRUMENTS
Full stock dashboard, including instruments, fresh-air ducts, and
controls, must be retained. Heaters/air conditioners may be
removed; controls must remain in dashboard. Tachometer, pressure
gauges, etc. optional. See General Regulations 8:8.
" But can they be removed on a car that came as a HVAC delete ? Maybe someone knows.....crap I missed an opp here.

Id love most to know what # the cars is....what a beaut.

If it never came with it, then you do not have to worry! Just do not try to pull one over on NHRA or someone will get ya sooner or later!

Well the car came with no heater and HVAC system, it did however come with the controls, I think its stupid to have to have controls for something that was never there but the rule sounds clear even if it was removed controls must remain in dash, then again this car is "odd" in that well....for a whole lot of reasons that seems to make other "Stockers" twitch and loose sleep.

But what made me start thinking was what about the AFX/Altered Wheelbase cars etc....I wondered how they came and are run.

I was wondering that. You can use grading points from the same year correct? I have 0 points, but hope run Indy this year. I may try to hit all of the div 3 meets, but for sure I would hit Indy, Cbus, maybe Norwalk with the stocker. I may be working on an Alcohol Funny Car again, and I am equally serious about that, so I will have to juggle things around. I do not have any allusions of grandeur of doing well in points, so I have to weigh the cost/time/return on investment trying to run stock at every race. I have a few goals for the year, revolving around e.t., and Indy/class run offs is the big one.

Yes you can use the present year or the last year whichever is higher.

Drooze, you can put the gauges in the heater AC control holes as they were shipped heater ac delete. Mine are in the holes as are most of the others. I ck'd with NHRA before I did it..
