Maybe the brake pads need a lot of heat to work properly. Just another suggestion.

areospace sells brake pads for roundy round called GATORs ...
helped my issues a bunch but with 6 calipers (dual rear) takes lot of fluid to move it all, but it stops well holds 4500 on footbrake captain
