Default "New kid on the block"

Greetings! New to the site and enjoying it... Started my racing career from Division 6 and raced S/G from '00 - '04... Woodburn Dragstrip was my home track... My car was called the Bobcat so everyone gave me that nickname... sold that car in 05 and relocated to South Charlotte (30 min. from zmax) ... I am currently finishing a dragster... A shout out to all my good friends from division 6 and look forward to making new ones!

Kind Regards,
Ron Brindisi Jr. (last name BRIN D C) lol

Thanks for the welcome Robbie... Most IHRA Division 9 as well as some out of division races are all 2 hours or less from the house...

Bristol, Atlanta, Zmax to name a few are under 4 hours... I feel blessed... In Division 6 there was alot of driving to run div. and nat'l events...

What class do you race? My brother-in-law used to live in Woodbridge, Virgina... I guess MIR is not too far from there.... Thanks again for the welcome... Ron

I run HR & S/ST its a 66 Ford Fairlane. MIR is 15 miles from home, I run some of the tracks down south Dunn Benson, Piedmont, Coastal Plains. Maybe we'll run in to one another some where I'll be in a big red Fairlane. See ya Robbie

Welcome! Most of the time you were racing in Oregon, I was living in NC! I raced S/G in D6 and D7 from 1988 until 1993. Unfortunately I didn't get to do much racing when I lived in NC (just occasional footbrake races with my daily driver), would have loved to race more with all those tracks so close.

Hey Michael, Thanks for stopping by and the welcome... I am told that happy valley is real nice after a snow!... That is not too far from redmond I believe? I lived in Aloha/ Beaverton area for 10 years... do not miss the traffic!! If you are ever headed toward the coast, eat at camp 18 for me... My favorite sandwich was the "riggen boss"

Take Care, Ron (I will have to submit some pictures of my build up)

u running S/G now or in the future?
