Congrats, the purse, checks etc

On the divisional and national level we have some members that are doing a great job this year. In no particular order, DJ Pires,Jim Boudreau,Todd Bednaz,Joe Santangelo(both stk &ss) , Donnie Carroll,and Jacques Blais. These guys are all going rounds and the crunch time of the points battle is approaching. Good Luck to all of you, hope I didn't miss any members.

The ASRA purse has been increased for the 2nd time this season. George may get the new purse in the newsletter he plans on getting in the mail this week. Without getting into details, the first 3 races we paid roughly $30 per round in the early rounds. That will now be $50 per round for the remaining 3 races. The reason for this is that we have 59 members this season(most ever) and there are more sponsors than last year.

Sunday, Bobby gave out the checks (from Race#4)to the people he saw before it rained. The remaining checks from that race will be in the newsletter that George plans on mailing out by the end of the week.

George is working on the newsletter and you should see it next week.

The labor day race at Napierville Dragway is approaching fast. Members who have missed a race are able to get points at this event. napiervilledragway.com lists the race as being on sunday and a bonus race on saturday. my guess is that if weather is an issue, they will race monday. Certainly all are welcome and encouraged to attend this event put on by our friends in Canada.
