Re: Lakeland Dragway
I'm in favor of having a SSSSA race at Lakeland. This track was home of our first SSSSA race and we always seem to get more racers coming out there.

Re: Lakeland Dragway
A big NO vote on Lakeland. It's nasty and in my opinion, very poorly run. And it's been that way for years!!! I sure wish we could get a race at Bradenton. I know that last race at Orlando probably left a bad taste in Carl's mouth, not to mention depleting his wallet, but another race there would be great also. Since we don't have a divisional at Cecil this year, I'd just as soon go up there twice as I would run on marginal tracks. Just my opinion and input. Merry Christmas to all!

Re: Lakeland Dragway
I think the SSSSA should return to Lakeland. Lakeland is not the best track but they have supported our association. I too would like to see the majorty of the races in Florida. The Georgia racers have not come out in the numbers to support the association races that were run in their state. We ran 6 of 10 races in georgia this season. Lets try to get a race at Immokalee. Ralph runs alot of cool race schedules that we could join and have a good show. Bradenton, Orlando, Lakeland, Immokalee, SGMP would be my votes for the next season. I would like to thank all of the track operators that have scheduled one of our events. The event at Orlando was a big success. Hopefully we can return there next year.

Re: Lakeland Dragway
Guys, first of all, Bradenton is not interested. They are the ONLY track to treat us this way. Forget Bradenton, at least for now. If you check the new schedule, you will see Immokalee is the first race of the season. Carl (Orlando Speed World) was very pleased with the big money race we had at his track! I think we will see this race again this coming year. The IHRA and their tracks seem very interested in working with us and we appreciate this.We believe this can be a win/win situation for both organizations! NHRA has finally taken notice of the S/SS associations and were asking a lot of questions about us at the PRI. Jim

Re: Lakeland Dragway
I did have good luck at Lakeland the first time we went there but my car did go sideways down track as the track prep wasn't very good. It is close and I would still go back there again.

Re: Lakeland Dragway
Depending on my $$ situation in 2010 I'd run Lakeland again without a second thought. No it's not the best surface but the fun factor far outweighed the traction...the only bitch I had was the lousy Days Inn experience, certainly not the tracks fault LOL!!!
The track management was very welcoming and accomodating!!!

Re: Lakeland Dragway
Jim Lakeland is good for me . That is of course if a certain someone has something for me to drive. I have had an observation lately: It seems to me that since your recent win you have become knowledable on thermo quad carbs , mopar combinations, good places to eat. With this much enhanced knowledge it only makes me think that I would be remissed if I did not vote for YOU for our next SSSSA president. so EL-PRESIDENTE Obama Whal have a merry Christmas....DD Does anyone else agree?
