Yes Reuben Pribyl's 68 Hemi Barracuda is the ex-Rich Thomas 68 Hemi Barracuda, notice the same molded rear spoiler on it and I believe it was a 4-speed car originally...see the for sale sign on the side window.

This should shed some light on the Dick Landy questions,
concerning his 'First LO23 Hemi Dart',

The 'first' race for his 'first' LO23 Hemi Dart (SS/BA)
Hot Rod Magazine Championships @ Riverside International Raceway, California
March 23-24, 1968
(Which was listed as an NHRA Regional Event)

Motor Trend July 1968 (Interview and testing, May 1968 at OCIR, California)

hey paul
Sorry dude, lite is still kinda dim. The only reason this car competed for that race was because the stick car was currently being built / converted in his shop & wasn't ready.

These VIN #'s are off Landy's two Hemi Dart's that I gave you several months ago, there's an 8 digit gap between his two cars.

I recall reading in a old Hot Rod magazine and that they wouldn't allow him to race until 50 units were built...it also showed a small photo of the car.

If this car could talk, here it is being trailered around to all of the Car Clinic's held across the country back in 68-69...is that one of Landys other Darts in the parking lot or is that just some glare off the hood.

I have one of Mr. Norms 13 Darts and have copies of the paperwork to prove it. I am sure the other 12 have been documented. I have been through the files that remain, wish there was no fire in 1968!

Norm told me he had all the paper work for the LO Darts he sold, but were destroyed in the fire at the dealership in 69. He gave me a contact number of a guy that has the remaining paperwork from Grand Spaulding but he has nothing on the LO cars, only a 6 cylinder 68 Dart.

What about the 2 Wayne county darts. They ran at Chandler Ind. for a couple of years around 1971 and modified production cars and eventually pro stock. Quite strong allong with the Lone Star Darts ot of clarksville Tenn..

Here's a couple of photos of Dick Landys old 68 Hemi Dart from the late 80's.
