Default Strange 9" in a 2010 Drag pak

Can you run a strange 9" in a 2010 Drag Pak Challenger? I believe the 2011 V10 cars came with a glide and a 9" if I'm correct??

I talked to NHRA's Bruce Bachelder at PRI last year and posed that same question. I was told that it is legal to use for the older Drag Paks.
The 2015
Drag Paks come complete with a Strange 9 inch. From what I understand it's pretty much the same housing that is used in the COPO's.

Funny you bring that up. I just put mine in yesterday.

I think Mr. Jeff said the proper nomenclature those for Drag Pak rear ends is "Eight and four quarters".

A little humorous to me that Dodge uses a Ford rear end, and a Chevy Powerglide in their Drag Paks.

Yeah kind of ironic for us Mopar diehards. I am pretty sure some of them come with TH400s also. I think the transmission deal has a lot to do with the lack of availability of SFI approved cases for Torqueflites. I think Chrysler refers to the Powerglides and TH400 as "Racing Transmissions" Not near as good as Jeff's 8 4/4 rear ends.

Of course I think there is a fast black Pontiac a just a little west of me with a GM trans with 904 Torqueflite guts. :-)

And Chevy and Toyota use a 1957 Ford 9" in their cars. And Ford and Toyota use 1965 Chevy truck rear control arms in their NASCAR cars!

A story about the First Year COPOs in the first meeting for the proposed content the use of which rear end to use was being discussed a old drag racer was in this meeting along with a couple of top GM and Chevy executives that were there. The old Drag racer suggested that they use the Ford 9 inch with a GM part number there was a gasp. One of the execs said we can't use a Ford rear end in this ca. The Drag Race popped up and ask then how can you send the Chevy NASCAR Teams to the starting line every Sunday with Ford rear ends in them! There was total silence he then ask how Ford and GM were developing the new the 8 speed trans together? No one said much after that.

Works very well too. LOL
But GM didn't sell it that way.
