nhra should return dropped categories to national events
Wow, down to a grade three with 14 stockers entered at Bristol. Englishtown has 39 stockers after the first week and Las Vegas was down 130 cars from the quota. Some racers are now playing the waiting game to sign up but this does not look good. nhra should move quickly to return the dropped categories to national events or they will be sucking some serious wind very soon.

I agree with this. Las Vegas was down on quota mainly because super comp was locked out. This reduced the total entries by about 150.Stock quota at Englishtown may fill this Wednesday or come close

Maybe D4 is leading by setting an example for the other Divisions?

Bruce, I agree. The fuel prices have taken care of any overcrowding issues.

Sounds like a great idea! Especially if they'd add Stock back to Heartland Park before it gets here

Re: nhra should return dropped categories to national events
While the reduced car count may affect NHRA'S bottom line a small amount, I think Vegas was GREAT.
1. No waiting at the gate. 2. No waiting at tech 3. 4 hits before eliminations 4. We were actually going down the track instead of waiting from 7 am to 8pm It was FUN! no sitting around just racing. There is some upside. |

Re: nhra should return dropped categories to national events
Tony,
I think Las Vegas was down 130 cars fron their accepted total which did not include SC. Stock at Englishtown will fill because of the number of Stockers we have. Greg, The car count problem at national events is something that affects all the members of the SRAC and might be a subject for all of you to discuss during your next meeting. Did it feel good to get home after that long trip?
