i think you would break the spring where the roller makes contact. maybe if you welded a wide flat plate to the roller pivot to widen the loaded area you could get away with it.

In 1992 I was lucky enough to be able to run my 1969 camaro e/sa at indy, my first indy.during the event of course while talking with and looking at so many top flite stockers, the one guy i went to see was dave lebrun. The one thing i noticed was that he had adapted a corvette late model fiberglas spring on his car. That stuck in my memory as a very ingenious idea, so when i returned home i started to research how to duplicate such a good idea. At that time calvert bars were not even designed yet. I first installed a fiberglas spring on my car the next year and design traction bars that were similar to the old traction master type bars with clevis .ends so that it was adjustible, the fiberglas spring held up just fine and the advantage of removing tri-city spring that weighed 90 lbs. Sprug wt. And putting it in a weight box help 60 ft. Times ,especially when the radials came out that same year by goodyear.my custom designed traction bar eventually became the forunner of the calvert design with a very differint side plate configuration to the one that calvert now produces.i now use calvert bars ,they are very good traction bars and a very quality product I highly recommend them when you use a fiberglas spring . .

I've heard some of the Chevy Astro vans have a carbon-fibre leaf spring that can be adapted to your typical GM muscle car. That's a junk yard item!

I run the springs from vette brakes and they work well. Are the springs from the other company listed as good. I may need to replace these some day.

flex-a-form and vette products springs are identical, I think flex-a-form made the springs for vette brakes.
