Default Re: Burnouts in the Indy Pits

Is not the first time NHRA issues this type of fines to other racers for actions in the surrounding areas of the track. It happened to Leah and I also believe that one of the Coughlin's got fined for either speeding and also crashing a car at the track.

all three of them got whacked.. it's on nhraracer.com

I will say this, it seems some people here seem to think this is ok, it ain't. Anybody that thinks it is should check the general regulations section of the rule book. Things I have seen; cars running with no one in them, two-step/trans-brake "testing", dry hops, and burn outs in the pits and/or staging lanes and/or return road.. I can't speak for any other of the divisions but when Chuck Nelson was the boss in D4, you got a "talking to" if anybody on the D4 tech crew saw it.. there were no second warnings needed.. and having said that, these kinds of infractions were few and far between in D4. In addition to these things being safety issues going all the way back to the beginning of NHRA, it is also an insurance issue, and all you racers are the ones paying for it.. ponder that for awhile.

They all got whacked and should have. was Pat McCue the one that went out side on the street and that is why he was DQ'ed? All should have been.
