Default Re: NHRA and the "Bo Butner rule"?

The political polarization in this country is completely out of hand, many (on one side it seems) can not just agree to disagree. I do understand the position of NHRA on this, given they apparently have just banned "everything", but one has to wonder if the message would have been something different would the reaction be the same? Is it Fox Sports? I mean they televise NBA games that have "Black Lives Matter" painted on the courts.

I believe it would have been no different.

This is about the problems this can cause on broadcast TV. "Equal time" docturn.

Everyone is reading way to much into this.

Didn't this message board use to include a "Lounge" section ? Shouldn't this thread be in a section such as that and not in the Stock/Super Stock section ?

Think you guys are missing the nonprofit part of situation. Same reason NPR can't blatantly say who one should vote for.
I don't think NHRA wants to pay corporate taxes.

What do I know, I'm Canadian.

This NHRA game and as it says enhancements will happen at any moment
Just like they banned cigarettes and alcohol and energy drinks
They are just bowing To The Woke Mob.
Now you want racers to be politically correct. Lol

Does NASCAR have the same rule, I don't think so as I seem to remember a car four years ago with a "Make America Great Again" graphics.
It wasn't in the rulebook when he did it, they amended the rule after he did it.

Back when WINSTON was the NHRA marquis - I was negotiating with NICODERM for sponsor ship.

NHRA said I could not do it ..

I will never forget the marketing guy for NICODERM saying -"WINSTON and NICODERM make strange bedfellows" - meaning they did not really want all people to stop smoking because they would not need NICODERM -- and the WINSTON folks said they liked NICODERM since it gave people hope.

More crazy things you never knew about.
