Seat Material Peeling In Motor Home
Apparently I am not the only one who has had this occur. The drivers seat and dinette cushions are all starting to peel and flake off. I understand that this is an issue with many motorhomes. Just wondering if anyone has had any results getting the manufacturer stand behind the product.

Re: Seat Material Peeling In Motor Home
Mark, what brand is your motorhome? Were your seats manufactured by FlexSteel? Or?

Re: Seat Material Peeling In Motor Home
The Motorhome is a THOR , It's a 2018 class A model, I'm not sure who the manufacturer of the seat material is. I was told by the selling dealer this is considered normal wear and tear.
I really don't buy that, but am running out of options to get any assistance in making these repairs. You would think with all that I have read about this problem that there would be a class action suit going on.

Re: Seat Material Peeling In Motor Home
Being that new (2018 model), have you tried contacting Thor Customer Service Department for any assistance? (Customer Service (877) 855-2867)
They may, at a minimum, send you replacement seat covers that you can install yourself or hire a local upholstery shop to perform for you. I do know that FlexSteel, who builds the seats for several motorhome manufacturers, will try and work with their buyers. Unfortunately, I don't think that Thor utilizes that brand of seat. |

Re: Seat Material Peeling In Motor Home
I contacted Thor today and they are requesting pictures of all the affected areas. Hopefully they will give me some consideration. If not the next step will be the attorney general in Florida

Re: Seat Material Peeling In Motor Home
Don't feel bad I have 2 expensive office chairs doing the same thing..
Sad thing is I bought these 2 years before I retired. (retired 3 years) Very, Very little use in the last 3 years... I just wrote it off to the material coming from a poor supplier, I guess nothing last more than 4 or 5 years anymore.
