Default "Live" from Atlanta National

Tech process was unsually slow today. Bruce was verifying all stock and super stock entries to ensure they were in the correct class and that they had the correct hp and minimum weight. It seems like there have been some errors and/or incomplete tech cards causing some difficulty in the tower at previous races. Full schedule is on nhraracer.com. Super street is first out at 9:30 AM. Stock will get 2 qualifying runs and then first round of class. Super stock will receive 3 qualifying hits. I may not have much time to post until tomorrow evening, but if anybody has any questions or request feel free to ask.

Good for Bruce! This has been a problem in the past. D2 was checking cars for the correct class every race a couple of years ago but then stopped for some reason. Jim

It has been a very fast paced day especially running two cars. We received a very brief light rain, which delayed things a bit. This resulted in canceling tt3 for super gas, and Q3 of SS is still in the air. They are going into the pros so I suppose if everything goes smooth we may get Q3 much later. Dad and I both managed to get a class win in stock and we are ready to go for R1 in those cars. Rain is in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday. They are talking about running more sportsmen than originally scheduled. I will relay more details when/if available.

Final sheets were posted last night. So, today we have a 9 am start time with the original schedule for Saturday. I am not sure if they will run more rounds tonight due to rain threatening Sunday.

Well 2 rounds of sportsman have been completed. They were a few pairs into Q3 of Pro stock car when the rain arrived. We are on hold. They announced that sportsman will run to completion today, but I am highly doubtful that this will be achieved. Due to rain delay and cool temperatures, I doubt we will be able to run to completion tonight. I will update when available. Forecast is looking poor for tomorrow. We may be here Monday.

What kind of reporting is it when you don't mention your .002 package in round 2? Great job and probably the run of the weekend! Thanks for the reports.

You missed Mike Saye's 0.001 package against Rampy in Super Stock Round 1? That's not too tacky either. Rampy missed a perfect run by 0.008 seconds and lost at both ends of the track (he broke out by 2).
