Default Live from the NHRA Gatornationals

Its Monday and we are inline, there are about 100 rigs here. We got here yesterday and afternoon and are halfway back from the front of the line.

The weather is great, sunny and about 60 right now, going up to 73. The weather looks good for the most part with a slight chance of rain on Wednesday and Saturday according to the local weather.

I have been inside the track and all looks to be in order, the facility looks great. I guess the weather has been good down here except for the cold. The sportsman parking looks good, dry, solid and groomed.

We are supposed to be parked tomorrow morning. Last year they parked us with no issues, lets hope for the same.

Ken, now I know why your always looking at the good side of NHRA and racing. Your living the good life with one sweet ride. Not many folks can even race the national event style (cost, leave from work, family obligations, etc). And then there's you and the other gifted ones THERE ON MONDAY ! LOL

I say to you all.....play hard, and go for the WIN.....good luck, be safe, and enjoy yourself !

PS send more pictures......................................Can' t believe I beat Drooze to this thread!

Any racing costs money. I will say I have less money than some and more than some but if racing at a national event would hurt me that much I would find a hobby I could afford. Actually I'm afraid my wife would see to it. There are plenty of other things to do.

The local weather now says a slight chance of a thunder shower on Thursday and Friday, not sure what to tell you. Florida weather can be unpredictable.

Wade, I'm grateful for what I have and never take it for granted. I enjoy what I have now because I may not have it tomorrow. I agree with Harry, I have more then some but less then others. I don't look at the people that have more, I look at the people that have less and I'm humbled. I wish everyone that races with NHRA could enjoy it like I do, but I understand why they may not. No matter what you do you need to find a little happiness in it. When its all said done and we are dead, what the hell did it all mean if we could not find a little happiness along the way.

Amen to that, Ken. Good to hear something positive for a change. To quote my big brother, "You only live once, and, you can't take it with you"!!!
BTW, thanks for the reports!

Ken thanks for the reports. You know that you need to win the race so you can show Bill and Dale how great the new event trophy looks compared to the old dusty ones that they have. Good Luck.
