Five Days in Bakersfield
It was H O T !!!….mad hot! Mother Nature was not compromising with the racing gods at all. She gave us a tiny break Saturday morning, but after that, it was back in the furnace.
This year’s experience was far greater than last year for me. I got twitchy against Jimmy D in E2 of Race #1 and went red. I learned a lot from that and continued the education for rest of that day. I got on a good roll in Race #2, and lost a tough one to eventual runner up, Jody George, when he went dead on in the Quarters. Congratulations to all the winners at Bakersfield. I had a great time, lessons were learned and stored. Can’t wait for the final Divisional of the season….see ya’ll in Las Vegas.
