Hoosier Radial vs ?
We run the Hoosier 32.0/13.5R15 - 101.5 around on the SS/ car. 87 Camaro 327-275hp. I would like to get a bit shorter tire. 100in or so. M/T or ? Any comments?

Re: Hoosier Radial vs ?
I run the 13.5 x 31.5 Hoosier radial on my car with that same engine combo. I think they are about 100 inch roll out

Re: Hoosier Radial vs ?
Yep, looks like 99.7. Should be 150-200 on the other end?

Re: Hoosier Radial vs ?
MAYBE 150 if both tires measure exactly at the published spec.

Re: Hoosier Radial vs ?
Another possible option is the Hoosier31 x 11.5 radial .
It's listed at 98 3/4" ,but I have a pair mounted for a Super Stock car I have in the shop that roll out at 99 3/4" on 13" wide rims tread width is just over 12" and a 16" cross section. Weighs 1 pound more than the 13.5 tire It's what they call the drag bracket radial compound which according to racers who have run it is a very forgiving compound. We'll find out as the car just has tub room for them and not much else in a radial.

Re: Hoosier Radial vs ?
When you buy tires do you buy them at the track or somewhere else ? If you buy them at the track have you ever asked the tire techs if they have a "short set" of whatever size tire you are looking for???? ---sometimes just changing the roll out a little will improve your times without loosing any of the benefits of the tire fooprint etc that you already have--- by changing to a different size tire you might be comprising tread width ,weight etc.---FED 387
