economaki passes/shelby autos sued

Saw on another site that the infamous talented Chris Economaki passed always enjoyed listening to him GREAT/FABULOUS annoucer--RIP---------- Shelby Autos is being sued for never delivering cars to a particular dealer after said dealer invested HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars with Shelby and then selling those same cars to other dealers!!!! What next???

Chris Economaki was indeed the voice of auto racing for a very long time. He will be missed.

Seems like I grew up listening to Economaki's distinctive style...those were the days when everybody didn't get bombarded by so many social media (that's all the mainstream press is anyway) sources and you depended on a few select resources to understand what was going on in racing...and he was certainly toward the top of his profession.

Thank you Chris Economaki for your great motorsports coverage through the years with ABC's Wide World of Sports...especially the NHRA Drag Racing coverage back in the days/years when what we now call "Wally's", were then called "Oscar's"! It's through your great coverage that I learned about this awesome sport, so I give thanks for your coming into my home with your great drag racing coverage, and know that our loss is heavens gain!

I'm certain I now know who the announcer is for the heavenly drag races...I'm also certain that one person we affectionately called "Da Grump" is glad to be re-united with you, amongst countless others from our great sport...I hope you say hi to "Dyno Don" & "Lee Shepherd" for me/us too will ya Chris?
