Default Ladder For Class Eliminations ?

Some one did a sportsman ladder at Sonoma for class, and it worked very well. Low qualifier previous to first round of class got the bye. The only thing left to be determined was coin flip for lane choice.

Larry thanks for the ride thru Western part of the country .. Enjoy all posts and pictures.

Now do you REALLY think you can get 8 to 12 racers in a class to agree on a ladder sheet. Hell 4 or 5 is hard enough.. I would but up for the ladder sheet. Can't run fast enough in A/SA against DP/ponies. B/SA is no better so what the HELL let's have fun.

I vote for ladder sheet

I vote yes for a ladder for class eliminations, this might fix some of the sand bagging problems some racers think we have ....

Great job on your posts of your western swing trip ... it was really neat and the pics were great too ..

Here is the deal on ladders for class at Indy cause I've done it before
The class runners (drivers) would have to agree on this, only takes one to mess it up for everyone
Now once agreed on, the ladder would be made before everybody is called to the lanes and you would have to pull into the lanes with your running partner. NHRA will not wait or hold up for us to pair up in the lanes very long. It can be done. I will help, let me know on Weds if and what classes we want to do this in. pairings would be made up from the night before class off of qualifying from that point and a meeting would be done.
also remember there can not be 2 byes in a round, if someone breaks/no show we will have to do a quick fix on ladder. Trust me its hard but can be done. Be nicer if NHRA gave the ok on it.

Should always be that way, but I won't hold my breath until it happens.

Joe, I forgot about the no shows. Oh well back to pulling cards. Maybe I will get the bye and make it to the second round this year, I can always hope.

Thumbs up Re: Ladder For Class Eliminations ?

I have always liked this idea. Instead of the usual mess in the back of staging, cards, short straws, dice, paper out of a hat....Ive seen it all....Thanks for the offer to help out Nitro.
