Racing marketing
Today I received a package from Summit containing some fuel line plumbing supplies. It contained the correct parts I ordered plus another package.
The other package contained two Schick ”Hydrating Gel” razors. [no charge for the razors] After a brief pause to fully grasp what this means I began to smile. To me, it means the High Performance & Racing marketing thinkers are alive and well. It also means that Racing has a bright future because promoters are motivated to “think outside the box” for partners. I think this is a good sign for the future of racing. The racing aftermarket has a huge investment in inventory, warehouses, and employees. They are very driven to sustain that investment into the future.

Re: Racing marketing
Yup. Gilette earned my business with a similar freebie Mach3 deal many years ago. I don't buy new blades as often as I'm sure they'd like, but they still make money off of me that they never would've otherwise.

Re: Racing marketing
Charles, send me the razors and let me know what you need in equal value returned. Remember, the razors are free

Re: Racing marketing
I had to laugh about Micheal Beard being sold on razors. I use mine too and I I also thought it was a neat piece of marketing. I've gotten a few freebie teeshirts from them over the years, wrapped in plastic, that I keep for emergency clean laundry in my trailer. Ironic, since I'm a long time professional teeshirt printer!

Re: Racing marketing
Chris---I can trade the razor for a T-Shirt.. Sorry Dragslinger he has a better offer.
Ed--I cleaned a bird nest out last week but I have a rule, cant let the beard go past my nipples. As I have got older, it is just like my hair--falling out. I think I have 4 hairs left. Since I am bald, I think I am going to comb the beard up on my head so I look likes I gots sum hair Charles |
