You better check the numbers again. They quit making the 413 in 1965. Thanks.

I believe they made a 413 engine well into the 1970s. It was in motor homes,
stationary engines, Oil well equipment and some HD trucks.
Very little interchanges with the car engines except block.
It has much higher cylinder heads with a wider intake by about an inch or more.
The exhaust manifolds look similar to a 340 but larger. Bigger water pump and different location for it. Several other distinctions are easily observable.
It does have a windage tray that you can use on regular B engines. I have scrapped all mine years ago.

I had a 1972 Whinnie Motor Home that had a 413 engine from the factory.

I think the 413 block was used up through 1972 in motorhomes, especially Winnebago

Harry,

They were used in med.- heavy trucks thru 1979 according to this and I believe in motorhomes as well. But I'm not familiar with the similarities or interchangability with other Mopar RB engines.

Similar info on Allpar.com.

Hi John, the heads and mani are different sometimes but the block has the same deck with thicker cylinders, all other parts interchange with any raised block, they are commonly used in Max Wedge stockers. The 361s were used for industrial use also but are less common.

Sorry Paul.....I meant cylinder heads higher - Not block.
Half asleep when I posted the Reply and did not proofread text.
No racers out here willing to haul the 413 blocks away for free out here...
let alone whole engine.
