Default Gen 3 hemi cam bearing spacers

Little bit of an oddball question but has anyone ever put cam bearing spacers in an aluminum block. Have a gen3 hemi block that is ready for roller cam bearings with set screws on 2,3 and 4. I want to use this block on the street but don't want the roller bearings because at idle there would be very little splash oiling since the cam is closed off from topend oil. Also don't seem to find anyone with a cam blank to do a cam for really big regular can bearings.

Can spacers be cut and pressed in and then line honed for regular bearings? If someone has done this I would appreciate a little info on interference fit and if a little tig maybe to hold them.

Or is there a way to put an oil hole in a roller bearing with out burring the inside.

Tried a couple of the Gen3 shops and they had no experience in it.

EDM on the roller bearing would give me a 60mm journal. Don't know the life expectancy of roller bearings either but won't have a lot of spring load. May find a 60mm blank but I tried 65mm for the regular bearing and no luck. High HP performance said that cam spacers in the past were $1500. This is the block we talked about in the past. The Bryant crank is cut to LS main size for the regular type thrust bearing. 2.95 stroke for 305 inch so usless for anything serious. Carillo rods at 6.5" and honda rod bearings. Don't have much in it but hate to make a coffee table out of it. Maybe later for a project.

You may want to try Militia Racing Products . Roller bearings don't need a lot of oil to keep them happy , especially if they are not under a lot of load . Charlie can make his own cam cores , so that shouldn't be a problem .
