News & Notes for Race #7 & #8

The final weekend is here for the Lebanon Valley Top Dragster Series!

Going into this weekend Ken Moses has a commanding lead over Wayne Hofmann, but nothing is over until the last round is run. The points will be determined on Sunday based on the best 6 out 7 races each racer earned during the season.

All the points will be determined at Scott Hall's trailer throughout the weekend, so come by and get the up to date info!

A few people have questioned why we scheduled this race the same weekend as the Stalba $25K races at Atco? Well, as with any scheduling, there will always be something that gets in the way. We worked hard to not conflict with the Dan Page Series at New England Dragway, and NHRA Division One Races. You can't win them all!

The series has been a big hit with Lebanon Valley Dragway this year. We have few things that will be discussed over the winter for improvements, but this weekend, we will open to hear the racers opinions on what it will take to get up the car counts for next year.

Raising the minimum E.T. is on the table, as is a hand full of other topics. We will remind all that this is a TOP DRAGSTER SERIES, and not a open series for any car. If someone wants to start a Top Sportsman Series, i'm sure it would be welcome by the track, but we are not going to do the work for others. If the interest is there, the time needs to be spent by others, and not conviently moved over to our people.

Stop by and let us know what you think. We like to hear your thoughts, and know that if your opinion turns into the new format next year, that YOU WILL BE THERE TO SUPPORT THE SERIES!

For anyone racing this weekend, if you see Howard Commander, please thank him for the track support, and backing up ALL the payouts at all the races with short fields. We know how money is, so having a track manager back a new series is a big deal........A sign of appreciation goes a long ways!!!

After a few conversations about my post, I need to re-word a segment of it by saying that we aren't counting out including Top Sportsman cars.

My intent was that we are not going to run a seperate Top Sportsman series, but the inclusion of Top Sportsman has been brought up.
