Remember when
For the old timers how many remember when the final run in stock and S/S was as fast as you could go under the existing record? How many would or would not want to see the finals (final runs only) run this way again only under the existing index instead of the record? It would be a better show for the spectators (we need them) and over time the new cars would have their factors rated closer to where they should be. The incentive is how bad would the 2 finalist really want the "Wally" and the money.

If I was in the final,I might be .50 under the index and the new car is capable of 1.5 under the index. So he catches me REAL early and takes the stripe by a few hundredths. What was the point??? |

Re: Remember when
If it is not heads up, it is a bracket race. These 2 drivers just went 6 rounds having great lights and running on their dial (bracket racing). For the final, the rules change---first one to the end wins, no break out?? Pass, thank you, I'll keep my shoe polish.

Re: Remember when
Let's go back a little further. 20 ft per class spot for the slower car. Flagman, if someone leaves too soon, back up and try it again
