New nmca class 2017
The General Rules Committee met and we have decided to put together an entire "New Class" rules package for 2017. We realize there are many competitors with Stock and Super Stock and similar cars that would like to compete in the NMCA Championship Series but do not fit the current rules for Nostalgia Super Stock. We are looking at a 5 tenths full tree, brake out eliminator the would have the feel and design of Stock / Super Stock combo but from there it is a clean sheet of paper. We would ask that anyone interested please submit you suggest ASAP to nmcarules@promediapub.com

Re: New nmca class 2017
Gene,
My recommendation would be to use the rules from the NMCA WEST Calvert Racing Quick Street class. The rules for this class will allow all NHRA/IHRA Stock/Super Stock cars to race without any changes. v/r Mike Johnson |

Quick Street is a no e bracket. Calvert is the class sponsor. I have run it many times. Here are their rules.

Re: New nmca class 2017
I prefer a Pro tree format, but will go along with whatever is chosen. It would appear that using the Quick Street rules one would qualify by reaction time, then get up Sunday morning and slap a dial on the car without any time trial...correct?

Re: New nmca class 2017
Is this a combined Stock/SS class? Is there a year cutoff? The new cars are really fast, like low 8s for the COPO Camaros and Moosetangs. Maybe move them into a Nostalgia PS class?

Re: New nmca class 2017
The NMCA has a class called Factory Super Cars for those cars to run in.

Looking forward to see what their rules package is.
I have run before with their sister NMRA, but not NMCA.

That Quick Street class looks like a really great thing. Especially if your car cant quite fit into Stock/Superstock. I would enter that in a heart beat.
