1963 Plymouth Fury (convertible),

With the "Commando 361" - 361/265 HP (2-Barrel), weighed in at #3336 lbs. = (12.59 Wt/Hp)

In 1966, Arlen Vanke ran this combination in G/SA at the 1966 Springnationals and won his Class.

What kind of times did Arlen Vanke turn with his 63 Plymouth .What other kind of cars were in that class . Also Paul many thanks for all your contributions .I really enjoy them especially since we dont have Colesys web site any more

Arlen Vanke had a 1963 Plymouth Fury (convertible) with a 361/265 HP Automatic as a 'daily driver' and 'occassional stocker'.

Arlen won the 1966 Springnationals G/SA Class by running a 14.07 @ 94.33 MPH in the Class Final.

He cruised through the traps, as his opponent broke at the half-way point down the track.

Exterior paint was Mahogany, with a White Convertible Top.

In 1966, the 'G/SA' National Record was 13.62 @ 102.95 MPH.

Arlen's 63' Fury could run 13.80's
