Re: Ibuprophin vs. reaction times
The reason I asked this is because I had heard that aspirin or Advil can mess up your lights. I've had problems with kidney stones for the last four months or so, two trips to the emergency room, and various pains and discomforts from time to time. Advils seem to work the best, and I take 4 to 6 a day, never more. Sunday I went to Irwindale for the Summit race #2, and while I got to the fourth round, my lights were uncharacteristically late. I couldn't seem to get the tree figured out all day, but there were no differences in the track. I'm going back in two weeks for race #3, then the next for race #4, then Fontana for the National Open.I'm sure I'll figure it out,but that thought crossed my mind Sunday. Meanwhile, they probably need to shatter, scatter, dynamite or nuke the stone that remains. No way will it pass. As long as illness doesn't interfere with drag racing. That's the main thing.

Re: Ibuprophin vs. reaction times
Just one aspirin makes me drowsy, two with a sandwich would put me to sleep normally but in this case it counteracts the adrenalin. Wine has the same affect on me but is not an option when racing.

Re: Ibuprophin vs. reaction times
2009 Bracket Finals, I came down with the flu on Thursday of the event. I was miserable. Took a bunch of over DayQuil or something along those lines. Couldn't drive the stripe worth a darn, so I kept it dialed .01 hard and gave them "the courtesy look", but for some reason I was wrecking the tree... mostly .00x to .02x. Won Thursday gamblers, Saturday main event, and Sunday gamblers!
I've had a lot of caffiene during a race (soda), or not (Gatorade G2, or nothing), and I don't notice any difference in R/T's. 'Course I'm always running at different tracks with different rollouts, so I'm constantly adapting to whatever's thrown my way anyway. Maybe I'm compensating and not noticing.

Also, remember that each person's metabolism and internal chemical processing is different. What works for one person does not necessarily work for others.
