Your right. The Chrysler lifters have no oil band because BB Mopar blocks are not gun drilled through the lifter bores for oiling ( unless aftermarket or specialty machine operation).
I had several B1/TS engines that I outfitted with spray bar oiling in the valve covers. Still had intake galling issues. My resolution ended up providing room for larger diameter, heavier walled push rods to combat flexing ( pole-vaulting ) push rod that caused impact galling.

I have to push back on your statement . All the factory blocks are drilled to oil the lifters , they were available with hydraulic lifters , so they needed this oil gallery .

You are correct. I really have to learn not to post things before I have coffee.
The blocks I was using and thinking of were Indy and KB. They did not come with lifter oiling...duh!

How about Comp Cams. We used their stuff for years in the Hemi motors before they went around the world nuts.

Same as Jeff said, comp cams makes a pushrod oiling lifter. I've used them successfully. Also look at your pushrod tip material, trend makes some material that won't gall, a little pricey though...just some FYI

I have been using Comp stuff , but did not know they had a lifter that oiled up through the pushrod . I will check with them also .
