Great memories. I wonder if the guy who used to own Capitol Raceway in Md. still has your mothers class winning SD 61 Pontiac ? It was a beautiful blue color.

Mike Maiatico is the guy that bought our '61.I spoke to him today and he still has our 61.He still ownsCapitol Raceway in Md and leases the track out.I really enjoyed talking to Mike,he's 80,retired and enjoying life.

Cool. I remembered his name as he was one of the local Pontiac clan of guys I knew back in the old days but figured no one on here would care if I posted it. Didnt know he leased the track to Cunningham. I figured he just sold out because of all the problems with the housing developments crowding in. I used to drool over that 61 Ventura when I went to Capitol. He used to race a beautiful baby blue 61 SD Catalina station wagon also.

Thanks for sharing Steve. I remember you showing my these pictures 25 or so years ago at Palmdale..............the El Camino and Penny Pincher days. Neat memories for you I am sure!!
