Cobra Jet N/A 9.13@145
Atco had a rental day today and I heard a 2104 Cobra Jet N/A, non blower car for the people that don't know, was there testing. The numbers were 9.13@145 in FS/D. FS/D has a index of 10.60.... wow, next season should be fun. One more thing, I was told the CJ went 1.20 60, that's as fast as the blower cars.

That's about two times over the NHRA factored HP. 700 HP out of 302 N/A, that is sporty, real sporty.

Wouldn't a 2014 CJ in FS/D be a 429, not a 302? But even so that is a very, very impressive run.

Unless it’s set a national record at 9.13 or won class and Indy. It’s just a number that means nothing. If this car was so fast why was it not at Indy?

What's up slow poke, it's called Harvey...I was in Texas protecting my house and property during the Hurricane that happened to be the same weekend. Have you ever brought 400 sand bags across your front lawn in a flat bottom boat to keep the water out of your home? That was a little more important to me than Indy this year. Just so you know we were at '14 FS/D weight, because come January we will be able to run that. Jim D'Amore |

The car started life as a 2013 Cobra Jet but now has the 2014 motor combination and components. |
