If I can get time I will look through my old agazines for more photos of your Dad's cars. See you at the races.

Gotta love the photos of your dad's cars. What color was the '70 Chesrown car? It looks like it might have been matador red like my car? I purchased a DVD from Bud Lefebvre about a year or so ago that had a fair amount of Stock/Super Stock footage, and I recall that your dad was on a run or two, mainly at National Trails.

Jim the 70 car according to Dad was a one-off color for the auto show only, it was between red and orange also the stripes were carried over the roof and trunk same as SS chevelles. I remember when the car was delivered to Chesrown and dad took one look and didn't want it because it was so loaded it would have been way too heavy and it was a shame to tear it apart but the guy who delivered it said this is what olds sent and it was his. The car was later sold to a Dentist in Maryland? Sure would be nice to find it.

I remember reading an article that was printed about 1971 about a fellow named Jack Robinson that raced with your dad for a while that was a dentist. I think it was the same article that had a picture of your dad on top of the hauler with the '70 and '71 cars. Coincidence?

I forget to mention, Olds did have a red/orange special order color called Rallye Red that was only available on the 4-4-2 or W-31 that year.

I remember this car blinking the top bulb at National Trails long before most other racers understood how crucial reaction times and roll out was. In my opinion, he was one of the best and sent a lot of us home.

The Dentist was probably "Doc" Robinson, who also ran a blue, w/white fender stripes,"68 Ram Air 442. I would see the '68 car at Capitol Raceway. He hung-out with Sonny Freeman, who was sponsored by A.D. Anderson Olds on 25th. St. in Baltimore. Sonny had a yellow, w/black fender stripes, '68 Ram Air 442, both ran C/SA, (12.60's, or so) at that time(1968). They got new cars every year. Sonny's '69 Ram Air Cutlass was at the York show. The 69 ran a 350 and a 4 speed, in E/S. Man, those were the days!
