I agree.
Absolutely amazing in this day and time that an large automaker could even pull this off. ( with safety regulations, emissions, etc.)

And the way they market it is so much different than in years past.
Most carmakers will never mention drag strip times in their marketing program.

But Dodge gets straight to the point and states that it is the quickest and fastest street legal production ever produced. Gotta love it !

Not bad for a 4,200 pound machine

And it has a transbrake! And it pulls the front wheels! The list goes on and on, lol. My Hellcat seems a little slow now....
Heck my Drag Pak is 1,000 lbs lighter and only runs 9.40's.

Everything about it is cool except the flairs, looks horrible with the skinnies on the front.

I am still in shock that a car company can sell a street legal car to the public that can pull wheelies, has a transbrake, comes standard with D.O.T. drag radials, only a driver's seat and can move 4200 lbs. to a 9 second 1/4 mile e.t. @ a huge 140 mph.

Wealthy gearheads must be on their phones right now ordering one...

I've read $80K. Anxious to see the added markup. Supposed to be only 3000 units in the US.

I'd guess that is just a marketing ploy knowing full well (deliberately?) the car is lacking the required safety equipment for the performance capability.

Optional seat choice for a dollar??. Does that also include or drop the required airbags, sensors and belts? Would Haggerty insure a car where the passenger has no required protection? Still attempting to figure out how an F/SA 2016 Challenger is 1,000 lbs less than the one I rented. Do rental cars come with heavy rust proofing?

Just like Cadillac Dodge has come to realize rich folks, and there is a lot more now, want fast cars and are willing to pay. Seems no one wants a Chrysler 200 or a Dodge Dart. (Except those forced into one like Alan Johnson, Deric Kramer, and Alan Prusiensky:-) I remember my 65 year old grandpa, his casual attire was dress shoes, dress pants, dago tee and a cigar to go along with his big, slow, boat of a Caddy he purchased after retirement. Go to a cruise night now and it is loaded with 75 year old guys in gym shoes, cargo or jean shorts, tee shirts and $75,000 plus fast cars. Sure Dodge will sell them all with the right colors.
