Default Gasket recommendation

My 427 BBC valve covers leak vacuum at the curves. These are steel Moroso covers with thick cork gaskets. There are many to chose from but which will seal the best? I think the leak is between the gasket and the head not the gasket and the cover. I usually use the nasty 3M yellow weather stripping to glue the gasket to the cover.

I like the thick cork with steel in between the layers, you may contact Allen Mackin on here Almack he makes a neat deal to go on the covers that will help seal them up.

I have had real good luck with Edelbrock gaskets, same pair and pulled the covers off multiple times and no leaks.

With the stamped valve covers I've always had better sealing using load spreaders, never needed any specific gasket after that.
