Default Kansas International Dragway (KID) National Open.

I am curious how a track gets a national open and the criteria that has to be met to host said event is not in place to start with? It is my understanding that the track does not have scales, and that is why this event was cancelled. I can understand weather canceling an event or rescheduling, but not having the required equipment to host an event.

What does it take to have a track host an open?

Thanks
Sean
