Default TNTSS double this weekend *BOUNTY ON PTS LEADER*

The Balancing Act and Sam LoVetro Automotive present final weekend of the season!

The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series crosses the border this weekend into New York state for two events - Friday September 9 at Dunn Tire Raceway Park and Saturday September 10 at Empire Dragway.

The TNTSS just came off a terrific double header that completed the Canadian side of the schedule. This weekend's events - Friday presented by The Balancing Act and Saturday by Sam LoVetro Automotive - will close out the 2011 TNTSS season.

Gerry Bartel from The Balancing Act has added a specialty award for Friday. The best winning package in both first and second rounds will each win a crisp, new $50 bill.

As an added bonus, Kevin & Laurie Orr of Kevin Orr Mechanical have posted a bounty on points leader Dave Surmatchewski. "After seeing Dave win both races last week at Cayuga, we thought this would build some friendly competition," said Laurie. "The first driver to take him out in eliminations this weekend will win $200 cash!"

"Look for strong car counts, extremely tight racing and solid payouts this weekend," said Ted Barnes, TNTSS Director. "Everyone will be going for broke trying to get into the top five so they can get on the podium at yearend."

The race to finish in the top five is incredibly close, with the driver in 9th place only 19 points behind 5th. "With every round win worth 10 points and qualifying having a possible 16 more, lots can change in a hurry on raceday," added Ted.

Going into the final weekend, Dave Surmatchewski from Oakland, Ontario has a commanding points lead. He's followed by Mark Herbold of Elma, New York in second and Newark, New York's Harry Phelps in third - both still in the running for the championship. Fourth place is Canfield, Ontario's Ted Barnes and rounding out the top five is Fred Gross from Brampton, Ontario.

Racer gates open at DTRP at 3pm on Friday with the first of two qualifying sessions starting at 5pm. See www.dunntireracewaypark.com for all the details.

Saturday at Empire will see the popular Gasser Series join the TNTSS along with the regular bracket program. Gates open at 1pm with qualifying set for 3:30pm and eliminations at 6pm. For more information, visit www.empiredragway.com .
